Australasian Safari 2009

Roo Racing had Sarah Twaddle driving again this year. Trying her hardest to show everyone that she had improved from last years 13th outright. But this never happened as from day one she had little problems that set her back.

She lost her Terra Trip most days, and had to navigator home without the help of the rally computer (Terra Trip) to guide the way. She even had her 1st roll over, but as she likes to call it her “lay down” as she only tipped the car onto the left side.

The best part about her “lay down” was it all caught on camera. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql5veuG8yeU

After 7days of racing Sarah still finished with an outstanding 18th outright and 1st in class.

When asked if she will be back next year, the answer like always is YES!

Space Frame Chassis for China

Roo Racing and BTIP has been given the opportunity to build a Space Frame Chassis for the Guangzhou South China Fly Tiger Automotive Sport Company Limited team (Fly Tiger).

It started with just some steel and tube. It was cut and welded and made into the chassis:

 Space Frame 1

Once the Chassis had been finished off the roll cage was added:

 Space Frame 2

We then fabricated the front and back and it now looks like a car:

 Space Frame 3

The Boys can even pick up the frame and move it around the workshop:

 Space Frame 4

Sarah's Move to Australia
